Transdiagnostic CBT for Emotional Disorders

This workshop will focus on the theory, rationale, and implementation of transdiagnostic CBT (tCBT) for emotional disorders, including the DSM-5 anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive related disorders, trauma-related disorders, and depressive disorders. We will review the underlying theoretical bases and practical benefits for transdiagnostic models and tCBT, summarise the evidence base supporting the efficacy of tCBT, and give a detailed overview of the implementation of tCBT in 12-week group or individual formats. Given the diversity of client presentations, including clients with multiple comorbid emotional disorder diagnoses, an emphasis will be place on transdiagnostic case formulations to guide treatment.
