Sandi Bento is an expert coder specialising in developmental psychology and the study of attachment. Until recently she worked at the Psychology Department of the University of Western Ontario, Canada as a key player in the Pederson and Moran led attachment laboratory. Together with Professors Dave Pederson and Greg Moran she co-developed the MBQS and has been closely involved with training, revisions and research on the approach for more than 25 years. Sandi is internationally renowned for her skills in assessing parent-child relationships and is an experienced coder and coding consultant for the Adult Attachment Interview, the Strange Situation Procedure and the Ambience measure. Sandi has mentored many students, clinicians and researchers in the application of the MBQS.
