Ageing Wisely: eTraining Course for Mental Health Professionals
Pre-requisite for Entry: A health professional or practitioner. Preference is that professionals have some mental health training and understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.
The cost of the Ageing Wisely eTraining is $295, including a copy of the facilitator manual and client workbook. You will have the choice to select either an individual therapy manual or group therapy manual as part of your kit. Additional workbooks can be purchased through our bookshop.
Please note, each client participating in the program will require their own copy of the client workbook.
About the Ageing Wisely Program
Ageing Wisely is a cognitive behavioural therapy program for older adults aged 60+ years living in the community.
This eTraining course has been designed to guide mental health professionals in learning how to implement the Ageing Wisely suite of programs with older adults who have anxiety and/or depression.
The Ageing Wisely program is available in the following formats:
- Individual program for delivering to individual clients
- Group program for delivering to small groups
- Supported self-help program for delivering using brief therapist calls to support a self-help workbook or online version
About the eTraining Course
Cost: The cost of the Ageing Wisely eTraining course is $295, including one-year access to the eTraining course and an Ageing Wisely therapist kit containing a copy of the therapist manual and a copy of either the individual or group therapy client workbook . Copies of the supported self-help workbook or logins for the online program are sold separately.
Please note, each client participating in the program will require their own copy of the client workbook or login for the online version which can be purchased through our bookshop. Photocopying of the materials is NOT permitted.
Time Commitment: The eTraining course will take approximately 6 hours to complete and may contribute to continuing professional development hours (please check eligibility with your professional bodies requirements).
Access to the Course: You have 1 year to complete the course modules from the time of your enrolment.
Certificate of Completion: Upon successful completion of the final quiz, you will receive a certificate of completion which can be downloadable directly from within the Course.
Learning objectives
You will need an Ageing Wisely therapist kit , which is included in the eTraining course fee. The therapist kit contains a copy of the therapist manual and a copy of the individual or group therapy client workbook (you will be asked to choose which version you prefer).

All workbooks can be purchased through our Product Shop. Discounts apply to orders above 10 items.

Credit card payment will all you to have immediate access to the eTraining course.
Should your organisation wish to enrol you and pay for your course on invoice, please email your request to ehc.training@mq.edu.au with the following information:
- your name and the name of the course you wish to enrol in
- company name, address and telephone number
- name, telephone number and email of the finance person for invoicing purposes
- company ABN
Please note you will not gain access to the course until your organisation has made payment.
